What is myofascial release?

Fascia is a sticky connective tissue that covers your muscles and connects your whole body. When fascia is released, then the muscle can release as well by itself or with Trigger Point therapy as well. I use a combination of fascial and Trigger Point Release. It requires little oil and slow, light or deep strokes. I may move your body aroun for have you move it for me while I stretch the soft tissue.

What is trigger point therapy

Trigger Points are painful or tender spots in a nodule within a band of muscle tissue. They cause pain at the exact location of the Trigger Point or refer pain elsewhere in the body. For example, a trigger point located in one of the muscles of the chest called the pectorals major, can refer pain into the fourth and fifth fingers. With a little detective work, I will seek out any trigger point that may be causing pain. What is Thai massage good for?

Thai massage has many benefits for everyone. It uses the gentle pressure on energy lines and the yoga-like stretching to relax the whole body on a deeper level. It is also good for improving circulation by the gradual movement of the person through different yoga-like positions. This will enhance the persons' flexibility allowing for a greater range of motion. The slow movements allow for the mind and the spirit to slow down and realize a true form of relaxation. It centers the individual.

My knees were in severe pain until I found Kim, who uncovered and helped me to work through chronically tight fascia. I am really appreciative of her commitment to remedying the situation from finding the cause to applying her incredible massage techniques to providing tons of useful take-home information that has benefited my entire body. On the court, or driving in the car, I move differently and feel so much better.
